When to Visit Amed for Scuba Diving

Dry Season (April to September)

The dry season in Bali, which runs from April to September, is considered the ideal time for scuba diving in Amed. During this period, the waters are generally calm and offer excellent visibility, making it easier to spot and appreciate the marine life. However, it’s important to note that this is also the peak tourist season, so dive sites may be more crowded, and accommodation prices may be higher.

Wet Season (October to March)

While the wet season in Bali, from October to March, can bring rougher seas and reduced visibility, it also offers unique diving opportunities. During this time, you may have a better chance of encountering larger pelagic species, such as manta rays and sharks, as they are attracted to the increased plankton levels in the water. Additionally, fewer tourists during this period can make for a more serene and less crowded diving experience.
